Maggie's Centres

Maggie's Centre Edinburgh was the first of a network of Cancer Support Centres unique programme combining help with information, relaxation and stress management and emotional support for people living with cancer, their families, friends and carers. Each Maggie’s Centre is located close to the hospital’s cancer treatment centre to be as convenient as possible for visitors. We are open from 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday and some evenings. No appointment is necessary, all support and services are free of charge and people are encouraged to call in whenever they wish. For this reason we rely on the support of the local community to raise the £350,000 needed each year to keep the Centre running.

The fundraising Co-ordinator, Briony Carr would like to create greater awareness of these services to people throughout the Borders and would like to come and speak to groups and associations to tell them more about the work of Maggie's Centres.
